Area 3: Outdoor Stewardship & Adventure

Complete 3:

    • Explore Public Lands – Visit a State or National Park, Forest or Seashore. Complete the Junior Ranger program (if available) OR hike at least 1.5 miles.
    • Service in the Outdoors – Participate in a council camp service weekend at either Hagan Sea Base or Cherokee Scout Reservation.
      *Scheduled service weekends are listed below.
    • Outdoor Ethics- Discuss how the 7 Leave No Trace principles connect to the Outdoor Code and help us be good citizens.
    • Cub Scouts – Learn the 6 essential items for a day hike. Pack a day pack and explain how it supports Leave No Trace principal #1 – Know Before You Go.
    • Cub Scouts – Earn an outdoor adventure loop.
    • Cub Scouts – Earn your rank’s Champions for Nature loop.
    • Scouts BSA – Complete the Outdoor Ethics Orientation.
